Stories about food, farming and forests

Theme Focus

Session for primary schools

Four stories will take you on a journey along the food supply chain and give you questions to discuss along the way. We start by finding out more about the importance of soil with experts from Dundee University. This is followed by Animal Aids story looking at the link between a polar bear and a meat burger.

Next, we follow the journey of oats with Katie and she’ll inspire you to make some friendly reindeer dust this year. The final story in the chain involves characters from This is Rubbish will get you thinking about why so much food gets wasted!

Teachers will be provided with a one page guide to this session in advance which will include the discussion question that will be posed at the end of each story, some pointers for the discussions and links for further exploration.
