With a focus on valuing kindness, this Arts and Kindness Week teachers pack from People United includes creative activities with a different theme for every day of the week. There are over 10 kindness activities to choose from, needing limited materials and teachers are provided with additional useful links and resources.
This resource encourages students to do small acts of kindness and realise the impact you can have when you connect with others (one of the Five ways to wellbeing). It benefits student wellbeing by inspiring them to 'create a kinder school’, and to think about how they can influence the wider world and their community.
This resource helps support the below Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For more information on the full set of SDGs, please see our Frequently Asked Questions page.
Ensure that the institutions who govern peace and justice are reliable and work to unite us.
Take urgent action to combat climate change by regulating emissions and promoting developments in renewable energy.
“Thinking about kindness in our local community helps us and our students connect with values such as caring, friendship and helpfulness. This resource helps children think about these ideas and also consider what actions, moments and relationships have an impact in terms of kindness.”
