The Essex Schools Young Eco Protectors have planned a Green Week in the week of the 27th of March with a recycling and waste theme.  Our students from 4 primary schools and one secondary have collaborated to come up with several ideas for schools across Essex to take part in including creating artwork from plastic, taking part in a local community litter pick and having a ‘zero waste’ day.

They have teamed up with author, Ellie Jackson who will kindly donate her book, ‘Duffy’s Great Escape’ to the Primary Schools that sign up for the event and can use this as a resource for educating pupils about plastics in the ocean.  The group have also voted on their logo, designed by Aswika from Westcliff High School for Girls.
