The Surrey Environmental Action Schools network had its first student meeting of the year towards the end of January. The network is working on its display for Zero Carbon Guildford which is aimed at showcasing and inspiring the sustainability initiatives currently taking place in local schools.
ZERO is a community space set up to drive a community-led climate action plan. They promote education and solutions for climate mitigation and adaptation, bringing together the work happening locally to help the borough adapt to a changing planet.
For the project each SEAS school was tasked with picking an area they felt their school was doing well in and to work with their eco-team to make a display for their section. The project is currently underway, and we look forward to seeing what the students put together!
