A community of educators empowering students to take climate action
Aims
Chester Schools Sustainability Network aims to:
- Empower student representatives to have a voice for climate and sustainability action within their school.
- Increase transferable knowledge and understanding of sustainability issues for student representatives, through guest speakers and project work.
- Share the sustainability impact of schools collaborative work, through events such as Chester Zoo’s School Takeover Day and Youth Symposium.
- Create a network of lead-teachers at each network school who continue to share knowledge and best-practice when teaching about sustainability and conservation issues, and implementing initiatives within school.
