A community of educators empowering students to take climate action
Avon Schools Eco Network
We have meetings every two weeks which are student led, with a host and a note taker. Currently, we have 20 - 30 students from 10 schools across Bristol, Somerset, Chippenham, and Bath. This is however still growing, and we would love to have many more pupils and schools involved. Our aim is to include 25% of schools in the area as research shows this is a critical mass to create significant change.
Schedule of events
We meet every other Wednesday from 7:15pm to 8pm during term time. The meetings are currently all on zoom although we plan to meet up face to face again soon.
If you would like to come to a meeting, even just to listen with your video off, you are very welcome. All you need to do is find a staff rep at your school, and then email them as well as Avon Schools Eco-Network to say that you are keen.
We ask that you sign a parent permissions form ASAP after your initial meeting.
