A community of educators empowering students to take climate action

Illegal Wildlife Trade

Illegal and unsustainable wildlife trade are major threats to many of the world's species. The two resources available via the link below - Illegal Wildlife Trade Detectives (Primary) and Illegal Wildlife Trade: Investigations (Secondary) - help your students find out more about the threats to wildlife from illegal trade and to explore some of the solutions to help fight it.

These classroom resources and activities from DEFRA include an interactive quiz, photo cards, and a stunning map showing illegal wildlife trade hotspots. Powerful film footage combine to make this an engaging resource that is sure to inspire your school community to take action to help protect species, both locally and globally.
