Self Knowledge: Exploring our Values - What are the unwritten rules?
This is a sample fully resourced lesson from the Curriculum for Life. It is aimed at age 14 - 16 year olds and aims to develop like skills in areas of social awareness, compassion, empathy, perspective-taking and decision-making .
You will find an Activity Guide (google slides), a Lesson Plan (google doc) and a 5 min Video explaining how to use the materials in your classroom. The lesson 'What are our Unwritten Rules? is from our Self Knowledge Unit, with the theme of Exploring our Values.
The Purpose of the lesson is to discover the social contracts that exist in our lives and bring awareness to their role and the values that underpin them. No previous subject matter knowledge is required - the aim is to provide teachers with an easy to implement, ready to use, life skills lesson.
