The '#Idontbuyit' campaign calls out the forces that drive hyper-consumption and exposes the marketing techniques that are harmful to young people and the planet.
Consuming less and focusing on what makes us happy are critical in combating climate change and boosting wellbeing. Global Action Plan created the #Idontbuyit workshop to help show students how much advertising they are exposed to and how society's consumerist behaviour not only has a negative impact on the environment but also our wellbeing.
#Idontbuyit aims to support young people to challenge the pressure to consume, and set their own vision for what a happier, more sustainable future might look like.
