Clean Air Day is a global, annual, single day, air pollution campaign. In June every year, it encourages everyone to think about what they can do to help improve air quality.
Air pollution harms the health of millions, but there are lots of simple things we can do to improve air quality and reduce our exposure to air pollution. Clean Air Day is a chance to find out more about air pollution (both indoor and outdoor), share information with friends and family, and help to make the air cleaner and healthier for everyone.
There are lots of different ways for young people to get involved in Clean Air Day, from raising awareness of the day and the issue by a ‘Walk to School’ day, or designing posters to put up around school, or by actively investigating the air quality around their school and sharing findings with school teams and families. Check out the Clean Air Day Schools Toolkit for lots of great activity ideas and resources.
