We are launching the brand new Manchester branch of UKSSN, the Greater Manchester Schools Sustainability Network, and we would love you to join us! With GMSSN, you will have the opportunity to:
- Take a leading role in climate action
- Meet and collaborate with students from other school
- Gain valuable skills for life and the workplace, including gaining high-profile public speaking experience by representing your school and network at meetings and events
- Enhance your Further/Higher Education applications
Our vision is for GMSSN to represent a diverse cross-section of students across Greater Manchester. We are looking for a wide range of schools to join us: state and independent, faith and non-faith, mixed and single-sex.
Students do not have to feel like “activists” in order to join. They may be doing this for a range of reasons, including for leadership and social opportunities as well as out of a passion for the issues. All are welcome!
