Week 4: Travel, pollution & waste. 22nd- 28th February

This week our #Ecolockdown challenge is:

Record how much waste your household goes through in one day.

The amount of waste we produce is bad for the planet. This week, get your class to work out how much waste their household produces in one day from food, travel and stuff.

They can find out their environmental footprint using WWF's Footprint calculator. Once they've noted how much waste they produce, ask them to think about:

  • How this makes them feel. Are they thinking about changing any of their behaviours?
  • What things could they do to cutdown on their waste?

We want to hear from everyone participating in the EcoLockdown challenge. Share your students ideas to reduce household waste with us on social media using #EcoLockdown.

Below are some sessions from our Youth Climate Summit that you can watch with your class to help them learn more about Travel, Pollution & Waste.
