Bring COP26 to your classroom

With With Interclimate Network

Session for secondary schools

This session focuses on COP26 (1-12 November 2021) and introduces a new resource to critically engage with the global Climate Emergency and the vital stages of United Nations' decision-making from Paris to Glasgow 2021 before moving students into country research and a mini- COP26 conference. ICN has adapted its UN-style climate conferences for secondary schools to be able to bring COP26 into the classroom with a sequence of sessions that can sit within the Geography, Environmental Sciences and STEM curricula.

In this  session:

  • COP26, its priorities and why it is a critical UN conference
  • How this new resource will bring COP26 to life in the classroom
  • The potential of classroom 'global negotiations' to inspire climate action in your school communities
  • Other opportunities to engage in the build up to COP26 in Glasgow 2021
  • How to access the resource

Hold your own COP26 climate conference in 2021 so that school is part of the global momentum for building greater climate ambition.
