Help our Kelp!
With Sussex Wildlife Trust
Session for secondary schools
An interactive live quiz session about UK kelp forests and how they benefit our oceans and our communities, focussing on biodiversity, rewilding and marine protected areas. The session will have a national focus, but will also focus on the Help Our Kelp project in Sussex, led by Sussex Wildlife Trust, in partnership with Marine Conservation Society, Blue Marine Foundation, Big Wave Productions and Portsmouth University. Help Our Kelp is the first kelp rewilding project in the UK, and is aiming to regenerate historic, dense kelp forests along the West Sussex coast, initially through the implementation of a trawling exclusion zone.
