‘Lessons from the real world’ will look at why it is so important that we engage with the climate crisis by using examples ranging from the effects of palm oil to a more specific case study of spider monkeys in Mexico.
It will show pupils how there are many different ways to engage with sustainability and how the climate crisis can be a part of every conversation.
Pupils have more influence than they realise whether it be with their peers, their friends or even further in their community, with MPs for example. We will discuss why it is so important to be informed when talking about the climate crisis and using our influence to its fullest potential. We will finish with takeaway suggestions of actions pupils attending can make to be a part of the solution.
This resource helps support the below Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
