TRANSFORM OUR WORLD YOUTH SUMMIT | 7-18 Nov 2022 | FAQs | YOUTH AMBASSADORS
This session is being delivered by:
UKSSN
The UK Schools Sustainability Network (UKSSN) is an umbrella organisation of regional networks of school staff and students across the UK, and is hosted and supported by environmental charity Global Action Plan. The regional networks are run at grassroots level - often centred around a hub school. The networks provide students and staff with a way to connect with peers, share ideas and resources, collaborate on local, national and international sustainability initiatives, and develop personal, social and workplace skills.
Henry Greenwood (he/him)
Henry Greenwood is a secondary maths teacher who developed the role of sustainability coordinator at his school before using the experience to set up Green Schools Project in 2015. The organisation has worked with over 130 schools, supporting pupils to run environmental projects, and delivering teacher training on climate education. He is now overseeing the Zero Carbon Schools programme, for which he won the Sustainable City Awards ‘London Schools Changemaker of the Year’ award in 2022, and now runs in schools around the country.
