Oliver Hayes (he/him)
Ollie Hayes is a campaigner with a background in the environment sector, having spent a decade at Friends of the Earth before joining environmental charity Global Action Plan. At Friends of the Earth, he led a major campaign against UK air pollution in the wake of the dieselgate scandal, and was heavily involved - "though not in a lawyer-y way, thankfully" - with Friends of the Earth’s successful legal action against the government's decision to green-light a third runway at Heathrow. At Global Action Plan, Ollie is Campaigns Lead and runs the End Surveillance Advertising to Kids campaign. Ollie also co-hosts the long-running comedy podcast 'Sustainababble'.
Samuel Owusu Appiah (he/him)
Samuel Owusu Appiah is a graduate, peer mentor and Consultant for Friends of The Earth. Samuel understands the importance of education and possesses the undying passion to motivate others not just on economic, environmental, and political issues of today, but also takes pride in uplifting and motivating others. He campaigned against levels of air pollution in London and has delivered workshops in colleges around Hackney on the effects of the environment and race. Samuel has also worked with the Resilience Project to facilitate workshops on raising awareness on eco-anxiety, mental health and burnout. Samuel is part of the Friends of the Earth Youth Network (England, Northern Ireland and Wales)
Lucy Jordan (she/her)
Lucy Jordan is an environmental campaigner with the UK Youth Climate Coalition (UKYCC). Her activism has centrally focused around the COP conferences, with the aim to lobby governments and international institutions to implement radical and just climate solutions. Lucy is passionate about the issues of climate reparations and gender, having led campaigns alongside organisations such as the UNICEF, World Health Organisation, Friends of the Earth and Fridays for Future to amplify the voices of those most impacted by the climate crisis, and call for urgent and inclusive action. Lucy has also supported youth engagement initiatives alongside the British government and the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe with the aim to mobilise and empower young people to take positive action for global climate justice.
Jonas Andrew-Phillip (he/him)
Jonas Andrew-Phillip (JAP) is a Young International Multi-Award-Winning TEDx Speaker, Workshop Facilitator and Host. He facilitates career and personal progression workshops, programmes and speeches for young people. Using his own personal transformation story of wasteman to winner Jonas supports his peers to have an understanding that they have the untapped potential to achieve whatever they want in their life irrelevant of their background or circumstance. He also hosts the 'Let's Talk Facts' podcast where he interviews professionals, entrepreneurs and young people for the education and entertainment of others. When he is not delivering dynamic content Jonas likes to play basketball, meet new people, watch Football whilst eating Cookie Dough ice-cream or playing his PlayStation and many more things.
