A community of educators empowering students to take climate action

Celebrating Transformative Learning

Tuesday 27th June, 11am-12pm

Global Action Plan are hosting an online event showcasing transformative learning, with examples and perspectives from organisations and individuals across the education sector.

Dr. Morgan Phillips (Head of Education and Youth Engagement at Global Action Plan) will be joined by Prof. Noah W. Sobe to discuss transformative learning, what it is, why it matters, and how it’s done.

Noah W. Sobe is professor at Loyola University Chicago. From 2019-2022 he worked as Senior Project Officer at UNESCO on the Future of Learning and Innovation team where he helped to lead the research and drafting of the UNESCO flagship report Reimagining our futures together: A new social contract for education. He is a past president of CIES and co-editor of the journal European Education.

This event will be a live online conversation, with discussion and questions from the audience welcomed.

This event is for educators.
